All Things Automatic Deliver Unprecedented Concept & Depth with ‘This Is An Invitation’

All Things Automatic is an experimental alt rock band who fly under the radar. Leveraging the power of intuition, innate blooms, and visceral cues, they fathom a sonic clairvoyance that is thoroughly alluring. They look at the invisible spheres of creativity and consciousness, using them to bolster and nurture their imagination. In their latest EP, ‘This Is An Invitation’, All Things Automatic set out mellow anthems. Combining ethereal ambiance with immersive melancholy, these tracks have unprecedented concept and depth. Listen Now!

‘Invitation’ opens the collection with pulsing synth visuals. Crafted with a soft energy, it forms seamless alliances with the post rock guitars and hypnotic vocals. The passion of the theme is drafted as an undercurrent. It simmers underneath the measured polish of the melodies and is perhaps more electrifying because of it. If you picture the track as an intense globe of emotion, each element is a swirling wave, lick, and accent fusing to form a melancholic continuum.

‘Miss You’ is up next. It forms on the same plane as its predecessor. But the sonic design is a little more dynamic. The synths are darting orbs that play a vivid role in directing the flow of the soundscape. Flying, forming and evolving in every direction, they gracefully nudge the listener into the ruminative realms of the theme.

‘Babylon’ and ‘November’ are up next. With flashing synths and pulsing beats, the former is an ambient synth pop track. We see similar synth textures spill into the next track, but the melodies are spread out across dilated beat lines and stretched vocals. This construction, meshed with plush synthetic material gives November’s woe a surreal dimension.

‘Grenade’ and ‘That Look in Your Eyes’ both enjoy an experimental design, spruced up with resplendent strokes, mysterious sonic shades, and truncated bass lines.

The band debuted in 2015 with their album, ‘We are Dj’s’. After a eight-year hiatus, this EP bears witness to their sonic renaissance since. Each track epitomizes grace, elegant, and succinct vision, executed with a purposeful vision.
