Song Review/ Alt Folk : Kaleb Hikele’s ‘Slowly’

Kaleb Hikele is a Canadian singer-songwriter and alt folk artist. ‘Slowly’ is the artist’s latest release, a track that blends soft acoustics with a contemporary vocal style. The song swirls with a contemplative purpose, thoughtful and evocative. It’s just him under the spotlight with his music and his feelings. And you’re absorbed into his performance, dispersed into the expanse that his vocals creates. It’s a slow track, a conceptual choice to let the listener in, allowing them to trace all the moments of the protagonist’s spiral.

Even though the track has minimalistic flows, it has such a remarkable depth and dimension to it. The spatial moments only get better as we progress to the climax. Its apex is made with splashy guitar instrumentals, luminous bass lines bouncing off, and vocals that will send you into a soulful crescendo. The blend of folk rock, with soul and blues features is so wonderfully pleasant. Listen Now!
