Song Review/ Alt Rock : Ian Leding’s ‘Leviathan’

Ian Leding’s alt rock is progressive, atmospheric, and transformative. In his latest instrumental, ‘Leviathan’, the artist composed a winding piece, warping the listener’s sense of reality, transporting them to a dark, hypnotic, horror scape that is both alluring and terrifying at the same time. The artist is not afraid to get experimental. He explores the theme immersively and imaginatively, taking us places that are alien and otherworldly. There’s no familiarity. A chaos that is sinister, purging, and so intensely pure that it brings the theme to life. The mood of the theme, the stories, the myths and the legends.

The riffs flit around with textured brilliance, leaving no space uncovered. They are an unyielding force that creates the backdrop for the leviathan to flow. And the guitar lines and grooves snake through this murky landscape, glistening with grace, mystery, and a silent power that is quite extraordinary. The best way to listen to it is to let yourself be consumed by it, let yourself be taken, held captive, and deliciously poisoned by the music. The places that you go to is definitely worth it.
