Song Review/ Alt Rock : The Amanda Emblem Experiment’s ‘Ancient Dingo’

The Amanda Emblem Experiment celebrates the Australian Dingo in their latest release, ‘Ancient Dingo’. It is part of their 2025 album, ‘The Wood’ where they explored a lot of naturalistic perspectives and philosophy, nicely weaving it into human emotion to create an immersive experience. The track is a celebration but also kind of melancholic as it reflects on their expansive historic habitat that has now been reduced to a few national parks.

The track is a mellow blend of acoustic rock, alt folk, and reggae; a serene landscape with catchy grooves rolling across it. It sets up a kind of rustic wilderness for an atmosphere and just spreads a contemplative vocal across it. They create a special place to come and think about the Dingo, perhaps get to know the plight of these animals a little bit better. It’s evocative and educational. Very wholesome. Listen Now!

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
