Song Review/ Alt Rock : The Widows’ ‘False Idols’

Taken from their latest album, ‘Between Two Worlds’, ‘False Idols’ is a fantastical nu metal / alt rock power performance that will worm its way into your brain. Not just that, its riff storms will take you away with it. The track starts with a tight riff-bass-chord rhythm that runs through the track. Bolstered with texture, speed and undeniable charisma. The boldness of the rhythmic stride is made up of dynamic sonic movements, activity that allows the rhythm to scale progressively. Vocals are atmospheric.

There is that Radiohead absurdism to its style and presentation. They converge and diverge into the soundscape like a beam of light. Manipulating dimensions within the song and forging the psychedelics in a very skilled and sophisticated manner. As you travel through the soundscape, you’ll be met with such drastic and experimental effects, all giving the track illusionary characteristics and cerebral power. Such a great opener for the theme of the album. Listen Now!
