Song Review/ Alt Rock : Train Conductor’s ‘Elephant Graveyard’

Train Conductor is an alt rock duo. They don’t just play music but they carve onto the rock genre like you wouldn’t believe. There’s wilful depth, dimension, and an experimental charisma that opens it all up. Their latest release is ‘Elephant Graveyard’, a track in which they travel back to the 70s, exploring psychedelics, obscure spaces and absurd perspectives. They capture the wilderness that you might imagine into the title and the chaos that follows.

The title suggests such an expansive space and they strive to explore it, posing it as an alien world with new formats, fresh order and grand adventure. With the riffs and basslines zonked with texture, the chords wandering wayward within the composition, it’s wild wild country out here. There’s classic rock with hard rock, experimentals, psychedelics, all coagulating into a shoegaze like space. And the creatures you meet, the sights you see, feel spectacularly otherworldly.

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
