The House Flies are an American dark alternative post punk band from Illinois. As a band, their sound is dedicated to dilating the spectrum of alt rock, influencing it strongly with moments of noise rock, shoegaze, post punk, and grunge. They have a very performative allure, where music is meant to simulate an idea, a concept or a feeling. With this track, the members dedicate themselves to crafting a dark, almost gothic atmosphere. Its fantastical intro deepens intensely in the verses. They liberate chaos in such a controlled fashion, wielding it like pros to create the mood of the theme.
