Song Review/ Country : Liz Nash’s ‘Livin Like A Local’

Liz Nash’s country music has its own mood and state of mind to it. It is rustic, bare like freshly cut wood. Feels like home. And it can be so refreshing in this age of highly produced musical content. Her latest release is ‘Livin Like A Local’ , a track that celebrates the roots of a place. And her style fits the theme of life. The mood and the style play into each other to elevate the track.

Frame by frame, Liz sets out the many small pieces and specialities of her town. Welcoming a new guy who just moved into town, she shows him around. There’s a fun, flirty energy in the air. She teases him for not knowing the ropes. But I was also happy to introduce him to it. Because, being part of the locals is such a fun and cool thing to be. The lyrical narratives are kind of airy and light, playful like a butterfly as it flits from one thing to another. The guitar follows, light and gentle, like a loyal friend, bringing the mood and the spirit of the song to life. Listen Now!
