Song Review/ Dance Pop : Maddox Jones’ ‘Somebody Like You’
Maddox Jones has released his latest single, ‘Somebody Like You’ with German dance producer, Gummy DJ. The artists bring a storytelling atmosphere to the song. Intimate and bittersweet, the track is about yearning and longing for past love. As the emotion intensifies, the soundscape builds with it, into anthemic and colorful bursts of dance pop. The rhythm set on a steady four on four pulse is meant to take the listener deeper into the emotional experience.
With memorable lifts and chromatic movements, it gives us a peak before we land in the expressive valley of Maddox Jones’s vocals. The song is a great stylistic blend that retains the brand and essence of both artists to bring the dance pop onstage. If you enjoy listening to artists like Kygo, Seeb, and Lost Frequencies, then this track will be your next favorite. Listen Now!
