Song Review/ Guitar : Martin Lloyd Howard’s ‘Surrey Bells’

Martin Lloyd Howard is a guitarist and compositional genius. His work is marked by its simplistic, yet profound nature of expression. ‘Surrey Bells’ is the artist’s latest release. A meditative track that expands with resonance. Small dots of melody, leave expressive trails that seem to last forever. The spatial production is done so well. It creates landscapes with simple lines of guitar melody.

The perception of the listener is deepened and lightened at the same time. Like a warm pool of light, Martin’s melody surrounds you and awakens something inside. It is nostalgic, pastoral and quietly cinematic. All you have to do is close your eyes and let the echoes of these Surrey Bells paint a serene scene for you. This track is especially affecting at the end of a long day, the soothing resonance of it sinks into your bones and lulls you into sleep. Listen Now!
