Song Review/ Pop : MatAre’s ‘When Alone’

pop

MatAre brings a new wave, retro synth pop magic with his latest release, ‘When Alone’. With the concept of the soundscape, he forges the theme, transforming the perception of time spent alone. He makes it fun, edgy, and full of possibility. Dynamic beats, glassy synth tones, and ethereal synth atmospheres mark the sound. It is blurry and romantic. There’s a lot of youth in it, a lot of excitement and joy. The artist lets the soundscape develop its own complexity, going with the drift and discovering its layers.

There is exploration, experimentation, wrapped up in a spirit of seeking. Of course there are crazy moments, moments of chaos and doubt but it grows into something meaningful. By the end of it, it all feels very profound and surreal. Much like when life surprises you in ways you had not even imagined. If you enjoy the style of David Bowie, Desire, and Beach House, you’re sure to enjoy this track. Listen Now!
