Song Review/ Rock : Baron’s ‘Doesn’t Really Matter’

Baron’s are a French duo made up of singer-songwriter Baron and composer and guitar player, Freddy Kroegher. Their sound is not only influenced by their personal style and spirit, but also by the spaces they occupy, cultures they interact with, and places they live. In their latest release, ‘Doesn’t Really Matter’, the duo present an animated, upbeat, and contemplative anthem that is reminiscent of Phil Collin’sTarzan playlist.

The beats are expressive and emphatic, building into a backdrop of neo-classicals, acoustics, and electronica. We see piano accents, a refreshing flute line, all of it swirling into a sense of freedom and openness. And in that way, it ties into the theme. That alt folk lightness that keeps pushing you up, elevating you into the transcendental arms of the climax. Listen Now!
