Sound Liberation & Di.J. Quartet Effuse with Experimental Jazz Rock in Latest Album

Sound Liberation is an artistic movement striving to liberate sound through musical innovations and creativity. This naturally comes with explorative spheres and experimental accents. Leaning into the pulsing excitement of the unknown and matching them with the familiar unravelings of rock, jazz, and blues. For their latest album, Sound Liberation have collaborated with Di.J. Quartet to carve out a plane that is filled with entangled rhythms, versatile sonic plots, and a spirit of novelty. Listen Now!

The album forms in six acts, each one dispersing into the winds of modern electronica, jazz, blues, groovy rock, and even hip-hop. ‘Overture’ poses a fantastic introduction. With jazzy showmanship, orchestral anthems, and bluesy rock grooves, it is remarkably vintage and classic.

The second track, ‘Density Intensity’ plays out, true to the title. Forming in four simultaneous layers, it is packed with diverse, yet congruent sensibilities. A saxophone melody snakes at the forefront. And beneath it, a wealth of beats, vocal tangents, electro effects, and a jazzy resonance breathes. The layers evolve to involve hip-hop verses. Jazz progressions become more detailed and complex, continuously excited by an undulating beat line.

‘ManChartra’ is the next act. It ushers the listener into an air of mystery with scattered buzzing, ascending synths, and dramatic basslines. Taking precedence, the synth dots acquire volume. Lo-fi and whimsically cerebral, it is underpinned by a spanning sax line. Throughout the listening experience, you will encounter borders that the composition overcomes. Futuristic and astral synth frames are infused with the mercurial spirit of jazz.

‘MMM’ is made of slapstick rhythms, all fashioned out of 90s-famous record scratches, funky beats, and cryptic vocal pulses. It is as nebulous and random as the title itself. It creates a state of unfocused symmetry that absolves you of all prejudice and limitations (about music).

‘Illusions Yet Again’ has a mystical undertone. It bubbles out of the beats, the sparkling melody fabrics, pumping sax, and humming vocals. If you close your eyes, you’ll see the textures forming, flashing an abstract portrait and quickly eroding. ‘Deep Time 2’ is a folk-jazz play. It is luminous and tropically rich spirited.
