Album Review/ Orchestral : AnayaMusic’s ‘Heaven’

AnayaMusic is a composer and vocalist. She takes neoclassicals to a whole new level of expression. Her tracks lift into that quivering space of vulnerability, tenderness and fragile emotion. There is an intensity there. A depth that affects you. As it goes through you, it slowly changes you, takes some of you with it. Close your eyes and the visuals and feelings that it evokes will take you out of the world. Her latest release is ‘Heaven’, an album that exemplifies everything that was said about her.

Each track is composed to lift you to a peak, a different kind of heaven, a new way of feeling euphoria. Some stem from happiness, but there are compositions that are deeply melancholic as well that she lifts into a heavenly transcendence. The scales are limitless to her. She moves along them like they are an extension of her. 

‘Heaven’ opens the album. It is paradise in a song with the violin both immaculate and tinted by human emotion. It’s through human nature that she finds heaven. ‘Ethereal’ is a more gradual plane, one that has beautiful plateaus and expanses that you can adore. It is scenic and all for your eyes to take in. ‘Harmony in Nature’ is lilting and leading until it is a burst of energy. The bliss of that harmony when experienced, the feeling of it is grasped in this composition. 

In ‘Melodies’, we gain a soft respite. It is mellow and calming. Like the morning sea, you can journey through it with a smooth bliss. ‘Celestial’ and ‘Afternoon’ have more of a character. They express and explore, play and perform. With theatrical fringes, these tracks come to vivid points and leap off, only to build back again, to discover new ways of climbing to heights. ‘Afternoon’ has synth swirling. They are soothing, slow and quite calming. A great track to fall asleep to. 

Lastly, we have ‘Harmony of the Spheres’. It has all the makings of a climactic act. Theatrical arias, orchestral peaks that deliver you past the brink, past incredible cliffs. It is fantastical and grand with magical bliss. It celebrates music, the harmony that it brings to our lives and the connections that it opens. It feels almost like a spiritual experience. Poetry, infinities, and divinity, it is cosmic and full of transcendental aliveness. Listen Now!
