Song Review/ Alt Electronica : Dual Mono & Name ME’s ‘TIME’
Name ME and Dual Mono have just released a single together, ‘Time’. It’s a progressive techno track with a lot of modern production value and a compulsive rhythm that will keep you hooked all the way till the end. The artists set up an atmosphere of dance with strong textural, hypnotic and cerebral intrusions. The beat and groove pattern is repetitive, going through the same loop.
A rolling dance groove that doesn’t have an end point at all. However, this base is loaded with incredible layers of electronica. The vocal delivery is prominent and expressive but also stylistically, functions as a secondary rhythmic component. It also lends a distinct scruffy and gritty texture to the smooth, angular groove shapes that form at the base. It seems as if the artists have directly juxtaposed systematic flows and symmetrical design with chaotic characteristics. It is abstract and eclectic, but with a converging power that really delights the mind. Listen Now!
