Song Review/ Alt Folk : Hamish’s ‘Singing in My Soul’

Hamish is a singer-songwriter and alt folk artist. He has a knack of creating an ambience that you can reflect and feel in. In his song, ‘Singing in my Soul’, the artist crafts a slow and organic scene for the listener to settle down into. The rhythm is mellow, the acoustics are simple and raw.

His vocals bob along, expressive in such an honest and vulnerable way. You can tell that it’s sung directly from the heart, with such pleasant moments of thought, emotion, and love. It’s the perfect song to fall in love with. The soundscape is crafted to open up the soul to the feeling of love. With roots styled folk, the track is incredibly grounding and teaches surrender and free falling in a very sweet way. If you enjoy artists like James Taylor, Cat Stevens and Neil Young, you’ll love the raw, heartfelt and emotional presentation of this artist.

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
