Song Review/ Alt Folk : The Graceland Conspiracy’s ‘We Are Chaos’

The Graceland Conspiracy is a musical group who create music that evokes slowly, quietly. Their latest release is ‘We Are Chaos’, an alt folk track that is raised beautifully with delightful vocals and fresh melodies. The intro is an ambient spell that is cast in a contemplative swirl. It serves as a beautiful entry to the concept. Floating piano notes accessorised by light guitar acoustics and ethereal echoes. Oozing, brimming almost with humanness.

From this a verse comes up, like a hot spring. Feel-good, celebratory and warm, it spells out all the things that are intrinsically human. The ambient interlude follows again, reinforcing the contemplative sensibilities, exploring the theme a little bit more, before the warm spring of celebration comes up again, bridging it all the way till the end of the song. A delightful sonic flow that really props the theme up for free exploration and thoughtful reflection.
