Song Review/ Americana : Leave The Bones’ ‘Heart on my Sleeve’

Leave The Bones is a raw, roots Americana banner that forms in a textured and dazing plane. The artist operates along a feeling plane.Their latest release is ‘Heart on my Sleeve’. It’s mellow and nebulous in the best way. Makes you slip away into the surreal world that he creates and feel the spirit that he populates it with. Blending lofi indie folk with dotted instrumental atmosphere and hazy, ethereal waves, the track shapes an emotion, a state of mind.

The raw intimacy with which he presents his vocals is disarming. It draws you in and compels you to invest in the deeper planes that he is creating. Listening to this song is about sinking into it, to light up with its experience and be completely immersed. Like leaving your heart on a sleeve. It’s not scary. It’s passionate and raw. It’s overarchingly and expansively beautiful. If you enjoy artists like Lord Huron or Ryan Bingham, you’ll love this rendition. Listen Now!
