Song Review/ Indie Rock : Kalligary’s ‘I Never’

Kalligary is an indie rock band that loves to explore surreal atmospheres. Everything about their sound and sonic mood is otherworldly. It comes with an incredible daze. Like a heavy mist combing through a rainy day. The banner consists of frontman, Nikolai Konkvalov and multi-instrumentalist, Luk Star. Together, these pioneers imagine and build such immersive and complex worlds.

Their latest release is ‘I Never’, a track that draws from a bed of absurdism. It has that daze and alienation that usually comes with absurd elements. From its fumes, they draw out rolling grooves, exploratory riffs, hypnotic chords, and nocturnal vocals. In the chorus, they introduce slight chromatic freshness and a few dramatic moments; an energy shift that reveals a peak before going back to the undergrowths. If The Arctic Monkeys and Tame Impala collaborated, this is what they would sound like. Listen Now!
