Subterranean Street Society’s ‘Focus on the Melody’ is a Boisterous Garage Rock Track

Subterranean Street Society has a grand edge to them who have made great strides in the sphere of alt rock. Each one of their composition reinforces their commitment to spirited defiance. The Danish-Dutch band has just released their latest double single titled, ‘Focus on the Melody’. While the title track calls out the society’s corrupted focus, the second track, ‘God Couldn’t Save the Queen’ comes down hard on the illogical and unequal convention of putting royal families on a pedestal.

Both the tracks are driven by the facets of disillusion and dysfunction, leaving behind a melancholic after taste. The title track is a boisterous garage rock track. With strident riffs, brash vocals, slapping beats, and a scattering melody line, the soundscape is browbeating, in the best way. ‘Focus on this melody! Focus on this melody!’ Shadowed by a 70s protopunk charisma and style, the track is an absolute riot.
