Song Review/ Alt Rock : Michael & The Guillotine’s ‘GHOSTS AT 3AM’
Michael & The Guillotine have just released their debut single, ‘Ghosts at 3AM’. They start incredibly strong, as they come out with a bold and raw track that lays it all out on the table. The alt rock track is dimensionalised with blues rock and soulful vocal influences. These styles conspire with the emotional grit to create an anthemic and cathartic listening experience. The atmosphere swirls with instrumental exploration and expansion.
A medium that is meant to depict the emotional movement of the theme. To set up the gothic imagery and progressing cinematic production, the band skilfully plays with volume and density rather than relying on complex arrangements. The band really do set themselves apart with their original songwriting style and conceptual exploration. If KALEO were to collaborate with Hozier and Highly Suspect, then this is what they would sound like. Listen Now!
